Gynecologist

Job Summary

The Gynecologist provides comprehensive reproductive health, prenatal, surgical, and specialized clinical care to patients. Operating within Betel Teaching General Hospital in Addis Ababa, the role diagnoses and treats gynecological and obstetric conditions, mentors medical trainees, and ensures high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical & Surgical Care: Conduct routine and specialized gynecological examinations, manage prenatal and postnatal care, perform surgical procedures, and oversee labor and delivery wards.
• Patient Diagnosis & Treatment: Diagnose and treat disorders of the female reproductive system, manage high-risk pregnancies, and administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Teaching & Mentorship: Participate in the academic and clinical training of medical students, interns, and resident staff within the teaching hospital environment.
• Departmental Compliance: Adhere strictly to hospital clinical protocols, infection control guidelines, and patient confidentiality standards.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Education: Specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics (Medical Doctor with post-graduate specialty certification).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional work experience as a practicing Gynecologist.
