Senior Risk and Compliance

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Enterprise Risk Management (ERM):

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive ERM framework and policy approved by the Board.
• Facilitate the identification, assessment, and documentation of all key material risks across the company.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and key risk indicators (KRIs) to monitor risk exposures.
• Prepare and present the company's risk profile and risk management reports to the Management Committee and Board Risk Committee regularly.

2. Regulatory Compliance:

• Develop and maintain a robust compliance management system to ensure adherence to all NBE directives, anti-money laundering (AML) laws, and other relevant regulations.
• Continuously monitor regulatory developments, interpret new directives, and advise management on necessary implementation steps.
• Develop and implement compliance testing programs to assess the effectiveness of controls.
• Act as the designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and ensure timely reporting to the Financial Intelligence Center (FIC).

3. Credit Risk Management:

• Oversee the development and enforcement of sound credit policies, procedures, and underwriting standards.
• Monitor the quality of the loan portfolio, ensuring timely and adequate loan loss provisioning as per NBE guidelines.
• Analyze portfolio trends and recommend strategies to maintain portfolio health.

4. Operational & Other Risks:

• Manage operational risk, including fraud risk, through effective controls, insurance, and business continuity planning.
• Monitor liquidity risk and ensure compliance with NBE's liquidity ratio requirements.
• Assess strategic and reputational risks.
