Junior Internal Auditor

Purpose of the Job:

To assist in ensuring compliance with NBE regulations, internal policies, and international auditing standards by conducting risk-based audits and supporting the internal control framework.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing risk-based internal audits as per NBE Directive No. MFI/32/2023 on Internal Audit Functions.
• Evaluate compliance with NBE’s Prudential Regulations, AML/CFT Proclamations, and Corporate Governance Guidelines.
• Conduct audit tests on financial transactions, loan approvals, and treasury operations to ensure adherence to policies.
• Identify fraud risks, internal control weaknesses, and non-compliance issues, reporting them with recommendations.
• Assist in preparing quarterly audit reports for submission to NBE and the Board Audit Committee.
• Support in investigating fraud and irregularities as per NBE’s Fraud Prevention & Control Guidelines.
• Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions from previous audit findings.
