Sales Van Driver (FMCG)

Job Summary

The Van Driver (FMCG) is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the company van to support daily sales and distribution operations in Addis Ababa. The role involves transporting sales personnel and products along assigned city routes, assisting with product loading and unloading, issuing official sales receipts, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate delivery and vehicle logs.

Key Responsibilities

• Distribution & Delivery: Support logistics and sales teams by executing daily distribution plans and ensuring timely product delivery to customers and sales points across Addis Ababa.
• Vehicle Operation & Safety: Drive the company van safely, strictly comply with traffic laws and company procedures, conduct basic daily vehicle checks, and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Field & Sales Support: Assist the sales team with loading, handling, and unloading goods, and support operational tasks during field activities.
• Financial & Documentation Duties: Issue official sales receipts upon delivery, collect applicable payments, securely reconcile cash and receipts with responsible personnel, and maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Education: Minimum Grade 10 or Grade 12 completed.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience specifically within FMCG or delivery operations.
• Licensing: Valid 3rd Level or 'Derek' (or above) Driver's License.

• Good working knowledge of Addis Ababa routes and surrounding areas.
• Basic numeracy skills for accurate receipt handling and cash collection.
• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, reliability, and teamwork orientation.
