To support our ongoing growth, we are looking for a motivated, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Senior Sales Engineer to join our team.Job SummaryThe Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for the technical sizing, design, selection, and sales of pump systems, solar pumping solutions, and electromechanical packages. The role requires strong engineering knowledge, tender management experience, commercial awareness, and excellent client communication and negotiation skills. The successful candidate will also lead the preparation of technical and financial proposals, evaluate tender opportunities, conduct site assessments, and support the conversion of high-potential opportunities into successful contracts.Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical sizing, design, and selection of pump systems, solar pumping solutions, and electromechanical packages based on client specifications and site requirements.
• Conduct site assessments and technical audits to develop cost-effective and high-performance engineering proposals.
• Act as the technical subject matter expert during pre-sales discussions, engineering presentations, and client consultations.
• Evaluate tender alerts, including opportunities from platforms such as 2merkato, against company selection criteria to identify high-potential business opportunities.
• Lead the end-to-end preparation of technical and financial proposals in accordance with tender requirements and company templates.
• Complete financial calculations, margin assessments, and BOQ costing at least two days before submission deadlines.
• Manage client communications related to pre-bid clarifications, technical queries, and tender amendments.
• Track submitted bids through technical and financial evaluation stages and maintain complete and accurate tender documentation.
• Ensure prompt follow-up and return of bid securities after completion of tender evaluations.
• Build and maintain strong technical partnerships with consultants, contractors, and key decision-makers across target sectors.
• Address technical objections, lead value-engineering discussions, and support the closing of high-value contracts.
• Facilitate smooth project handovers to execution teams following successful bid awards.
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities, proposals, tender submissions, and client communications.
