Pre-Press Operator

Educational Qualification

TVET Level IV or above in:

Printing Technology

Graphic Design

Or other related fields.

Work Experience

Minimum  2 years  of experience in pre-press operations, printing, or related industries.

Practical experience operating CTP and CTF systems.

Experience in digital file preparation, color management, and printing quality control is advantageous.

Required Competencies

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other pre-press software.

Knowledge of printing processes, color theory, typography, and layout preparation.

Strong attention to detail.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Problem-solving ability.

Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment.

Hardworking, disciplined, and quality-oriented.

Other Requirements

Good physical health.

Good eyesight without visual impairment affecting pre-press work.

Job Summary

The Pre-Press Operator is responsible for preparing and processing digital artwork, operating pre-press equipment, ensuring printing quality standards, and supporting secure smart card manufacturing through efficient production preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, verify, and process digital artwork for printing.

Perform color correction, image retouching, and layout adjustments.

Operate Computer-to-Plate (CTP) and Computer-to-Film (CTF) systems.

Inspect printing plates and films to ensure quality compliance.

Coordinate with Graphic Design and Production teams.

Troubleshoot digital file and printing preparation issues.

Clean and maintain machines and the work environment.

Coordinate equipment servicing and repairs.

Maintain production records and daily reports.

Follow company safety, security, and operational procedures.
