What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities:

Task Breakdown:

• Manage the overall foreign currency position of the Bank in strict compliance with National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) directives, exposure limits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Actively monitor and control Nostro account balances, optimize liquidity, and manage smooth fund transfers between foreign correspondent banks.
• Oversee the verification and authorization of completed international transactions, ensuring daily accounting tickets are properly arranged, posted, and archived.
• Direct and monitor the continuous reconciliation of Nostro accounts, foreign exchange positions, and ledger entries to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Enforce strict compliance with internal control policies, regulatory frameworks, and international accounting standards across all international banking account operations.
• Prepare comprehensive daily, monthly, and quarterly reports on foreign account positions, transaction volumes, and reconciliation statuses for executive management.

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

Years of Experience: 8/9 years of Relevant Banking Experience

Relevant Experience: 3/4 of which on Supervisory Position.

Education & Certifications

Educational Requirements: Masters or First Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Management, or related fields.
