- Job Title: Legal Counsel
- Department: Legal & Contracts
- Reports To: Legal & Contracts Manager
- Location: Addis Ababa with periodic travel to the plant
- Required No: 1
- Provide legal advice and opinions on legal, Commercial, operational, and Tax matters.
- Identify, assess, and advise on legal risks and appropriate mitigation measures.
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Ensure proper filing, recording, and monitoring of contracts and key contractual obligations.
- Provide legal support for business functions on operational and commercial matters.
- Support the Company in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and other dispute-resolution matters.
- Conduct legal research and monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments.
- Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, reports, risk assessments, and other legal documentation.
- Participate in negotiations, meetings, committees, and business initiatives requiring legal support.
- Support the Company in implementing policies, procedures, and internal controls.
