Role Overview:
Position Summary: We are looking for a competent and service-oriented IT Officer to manage and support the company's IT infrastructure, systems, hardware, software, networks, and users. The position will ensure the availability, security, reliability, and efficient operation of the company's IT systems and provide timely technical support to employees.
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, update, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, operating systems, business applications, printers, network equipment, and other IT hardware.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to employees and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Monitor and maintain the company's LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, servers, and other network infrastructure.
- Ensure regular data backup and support data recovery procedures.
- Maintain IT security, including antivirus protection, access control, system updates, and protection against unauthorized access.
- Maintain an updated inventory of IT equipment, software licenses, and other technology assets.
- Coordinate with internet service providers, software vendors, hardware suppliers, and other IT service providers.
- Monitor the performance and availability of critical IT systems and promptly address system failures.
- Ensure proper documentation of IT assets, configurations, incidents, maintenance activities, and user support.
- Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
Years of Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of relevant work experience in IT support, systems administration, network administration, or a similar position.
Relevant Experience:
- Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365/Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
- Experience supporting ERP/business information systems is an advantage.
- Experience with CCTV, biometric systems, and access-control systems is an advantage.
Skills:
Technical Skills:
- Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and network troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of data backup, cybersecurity, antivirus, and user-access management.
Education & Certifications
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Certifications: Relevant professional IT certifications are an added advantage
