Finance Manager

Job Summary

The Finance Manager leads and oversees all financial operations, strategic budgeting, and regulatory compliance for the East African Special Economic Zone. Operating at a senior management level, the role ensures robust internal controls, manages statutory reporting and audits, implements IFRS standards, and drives financial performance across industrial park development and commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations & Reporting: Lead all financial functions, preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and monitor comprehensive budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow plans to support business strategy.
• Taxation & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, financial regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Internal Controls & Audits: Establish and maintain strong internal controls while managing external audits and relationships with auditors.
• Team Leadership & Strategy: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, providing strategic financial analysis and investment recommendations to management.
• IFRS Implementation: Train staff on and successfully implement International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) across operations.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is a strong added advantage).
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 3 years served in a managerial position. (Experience in industrial park development, real estate, manufacturing, or trading sectors is preferred).
