The Finance & Cost Control Manager leads the financial operations, cost optimization strategies, budgeting, tax compliance, and financial reporting of the enterprise. This role manages cost allocation models, zero-based budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and internal control frameworks in full compliance with IFRS and local tax regulations. Additionally, the manager directs internal/external audits, protects liquidity, and mentors the finance and accounting team to align with organizational growth targets.
Key Responsibilities1. Cost Accounting & Margin Optimization
Lead detailed product/service costing, overhead allocation analysis, and expenditure optimization.
Identify operational cost leaks and implement strategies to expand gross profit margins.
2. Budgeting, Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Oversee zero-based corporate budgeting, variance analysis, and operational forecasting.
Direct treasury functions, managing working capital, receivables/payables, and cash flow liquidity.
3. Financial Reporting & IFRS Compliance
Oversee the preparation of accurate, audit-ready financial statements in strict accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory standards.
4. Internal Controls, Tax & Audit Governance
Design and enforce internal financial controls to protect assets, prevent waste, and mitigate financial risks.
Direct internal and external audit engagements, driving timely resolution of audit recommendations.
Oversee corporate tax strategy and compliance (VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Payroll Taxes).
5. Leadership & Team Mentorship
Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff to foster operational efficiency and professional development.
Bachelor’s (BA) or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are highly desirable.
Total Experience: At least 6 years of progressive experience in accounting, cost control, and financial operations.
Management Experience: At least 3 to 5 years in a senior managerial capacity overseeing corporate financial operations.
Track Record: Proven success in cost-reduction initiatives, budget management, and financial strategy execution.
Technical Domain: Advanced knowledge of Cost Accounting, IFRS frameworks, treasury management, and national tax codes.
Software Expertise: High proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) financial modules (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Odoo) and advanced Excel modeling.
Core Skills: Advanced financial analysis, risk management, internal auditing, strategic decision-making, and executive reporting.
