Driver

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of this job is to transport passengers and goods using vehicles; to work also involves checking vehicle prior to driving and determining that it is in proper operating condition.

Major duties and Responsibilities

Checks oils, water, tyres, breaks, lights, mirrors, and other external parts of the vehicle before driving.

Washes and cleans assigned vehicle regularly.

Replaces tyres when required.

Transports safely staff, passengers and goods to their destinations as per the instruction of the superior.

Delivers goods and massages to their respected address.

Makes periodic reports on mileage and fuel consumption.

Handles and drives the assigned vehicle properly with respect to the regulations of the transport authority.

Handles and keeps tools and reserve tyre of the vehicle safely.

Performs minor liaison activities.

Performs other related duties as may be assigned by his supervisor

About You

Required Knowledge and skills (Competence)

Education

10th grade complete and 3rd grade driving license

Experience

4 years of relevant work experience.

Skills

Knowledge of the regulations of the transport authority

Skill in operation of assigned vehicle

Ability to build relationships quickly with a wide range of people, both internally and externally’
