Director Sales

Job Purpose

Responsible for the overall sales, business development, dealer network, market expansion, revenue and profitability of the Three-Wheeler/ Two Wheeler business in Ethiopia. The position requires a highly target-driven leader capable of aggressively expanding market share and building a strong, profitable distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual Three-Wheeler sales and business strategy.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales, revenue and profitability targets.
• Develop and expand the dealer network across Ethiopia and improve dealer productivity.
• Identify new territories, markets, dealers and business opportunities.
• Develop institutional, fleet, corporate and bulk sales.
• Build relationships with banks and microfinance institutions to facilitate customer financing.
• Monitor competitors, pricing, products, market trends and customer requirements.
• Manage sales team performance, recruitment, training, targets and productivity.
• Establish dealer-wise, territory-wise and salesperson-wise sales targets.
• Monitor dealer stock, inventory ageing, sales pipeline and stock rotation.
• Coordinate with Finance on collections, dealer credit and receivables.
• Coordinate with After-Sales to ensure customer satisfaction and quick resolution of complaints.
• Lead product launches, roadshows, dealer events and market activation programmes.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular business reports to management.
• Ensure strict compliance with company pricing, discount, credit and commercial policies.

Authority & Accountability

The Sales Director will have responsibility for the commercial performance and growth of the Three-Wheeler / Two-Wheeler business and shall operate within approved company policies and delegated financial/commercial authority.

Build a high-volume, profitable and sustainable Three-Wheeler / two -wheeler business in Ethiopia through aggressive sales growth, dealer expansion, territory development, fleet/institutional sales and disciplined commercial management.
