Job Description

The Junior Customer Service Officer will support customer service, branch operations, transactions, back-office activities, deposit mobilization, and the promotion of banking products and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle account openings, maintain customer registers, and manage document custody.
• Process counter transactions, cheque deposits, and returned cheques.
• Assist Senior Customer Service Officers with back-office operations and daily reconciliations, including ATM, POS, merchant, and branch books.
• Assist with clearing suspense accounts.
• Promote the bank's products, services, and alternative digital channels.
• Support deposit mobilization and the recruitment of new clients.
• Build relationships with merchants and agents.
• Respond to customer inquiries while maintaining service quality and confidentiality.
• Perform duties in accordance with applicable National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) standards.

Qualification and Requirements

Educational Qualification

Applicants should have a First Degree (Bachelor's degree) in one of the following fields:

• Accounting
• Management
• Finance
• Economics
• Banking & Finance
• Related fields

A First Degree in Business Administration and Information System (BAIS) is stated as advantageous.

Applicants with a relevant first degree together with training or certification in MIS, IT, or a related field are also considered under the stated requirements.

Experience
