Accountant

Job Summary

Responsible for the accurate and timely calculation, filing, and remittance of all government taxes, managing the financial documentation filing system, and executing daily banking operations under the direction of the Deputy Manager of Finance. The role oversees tax compliance, cash and banking transactions, payroll deductions, and serves as the primary liaison for tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Compute, reconcile, and prepare monthly tax returns (VAT, Income Tax, Technical Tax, Withholding Tax) within ERPNext and ensure timely remittance to government authorities.
• Manage petty cash, prepare payment vouchers and cheques, verify approvals, and disburse authorized payments.
• Handle bank withdrawals and regular deposits, collect official receipts, and report monthly on unsettled payments.
• Maintain a complete and organized physical and digital financial documentation filing system.
• Manage cash register invoices, collect payments against official company receipts, and settle utility bills.
• Process payroll deductions (loans, court orders, savings) and ensure full compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Education: B.A. degree in Accounting or Diploma in Accounting.
• Experience: 4 years of directly related work experience for BA holders, or 6 years of directly related work experience for Diploma holders.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (such as ERPNext), tax regulations, cash handling, and financial record-keeping.
