Applications are now open for the University of Stirling Vice Chancellor Scholarship 2027 for International Students in the UK. New international students commencing master’s programs in September 2027 or January 2028 are invited to apply for the Postgraduate International Scholarship. This scholarship is specifically designed for self-funded students who are enrolled full-time at Stirling’s Scottish campus, providing a tuition fee reduction of £7,000, and is accessible to applicants from all countries.

While a £7,000 scholarship may appear straightforward, the University of Stirling has introduced an additional competition. To qualify, applicants must pay a £1,000 scholarship deposit by the deadline indicated in their award letter, in addition to receiving the scholarship offer. The allocation for the January 2027 scholarship is nearly full, and eligible candidates may be placed on a reserve list. This serves as a valuable reminder for students targeting the later intakes in September 2027 or January 2028.

It is important to note that the Vice Chancellor’s award cannot be combined with any other scholarship or award from the University of Stirling. Instead of allowing multiple discounts, the university will apply the highest-value scholarship when a student qualifies for several Stirling awards. Therefore, candidates are encouraged to explore all available scholarships for which they are eligible, enabling Stirling to determine which option would yield the most favorable financial outcome.

Benefits of University of Stirling Vice Chancellor Scholarship:

Instead of giving the student money directly, the prize lowers tuition by £7,000 for the first year.

Stirling charges different prices for its international master’s programs.

Programs like International Conflict and Cooperation are offered for about £24,300 for 2027–2028, while MSc TESOL, Master of Public Policy, and numerous humanities programs are listed at about £22,500.

The scholarship would lower the tuition cost to about £15,500 on a £22,500 program. About £17,300 would be left over on a £24,300 program.

The student is still responsible of housing, food, visa fees, and other living expenditures.
