Technical Consultant

The Technical Consultant (Temenos Transact / T24) is responsible for the technical design, custom development, system integration, and core configuration of the Temenos Transact platform. Working alongside functional consultants, this role translates complex banking and business requirements into robust technical solutions. The specialist ensures high performance, scalability, and seamless integration between Transact and external platforms, while supporting environment management, data migration, batch processing (COB), and system deployments.

Technical Design & Customization

• Design and develop Temenos Transact components using InfoBasic, TAFJ/TAFC, and Temenos frameworks.

• Build and maintain LOCAL routines, hooks, validations, VERSIONs, ENQUIRYs, and browser-level customizations.

• Implement technical enhancements to support product configuration and business workflows.

Integration, Interfaces & Data Migration

• Design and implement integrations using Open Financial Services (OFS) and modern APIs.

• Build, troubleshoot, and optimize interfaces connecting Transact with external systems (mobile apps, payment gateways, reporting engines).

• Develop ETL scripts/utilities for data extraction, transformation, and bulk uploads via OFS, ensuring accurate data reconciliation.

Environment Management, Testing & Operations

• Install, configure, and maintain TAFC/TAFJ Transact environments across dev, test, and production stages.

• Support CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment automation.

• Provide technical support during SIT and UAT phases; monitor and resolve issues within Close of Business (COB) batch execution.

• Optimize database queries, batch jobs, and system resource allocation to ensure scalability and reliability.

Documentation & Quality Standards

• Author technical design documents, interface specifications, and code documentation.

• Maintain strict code quality, version control, and organizational development standards.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Proven experience working with the Temenos T24 / Transact technical stack and architecture.

• Demonstrated track record in building LOCAL routines, VERSIONs, ENQUIRYs, and OFS messaging flows.

• Hands-on experience executing database tuning, batch (COB) optimization, and interface troubleshooting in core banking deployments.

• Core Banking Expertise: Deep domain knowledge of Temenos Transact / T24 core banking architecture.

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in InfoBasic, jBASE, or Java (TAFJ environment).

• Integration Patterns: Strong understanding of OFS messaging, REST/SOAP APIs, and external banking interfaces.

• OS & Scripting: Strong command of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.

• Database Systems: Solid understanding of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL).

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills; capability to work under pressure during deployments and go-live phases.

• Experience with CI/CD automation tools, Docker containerization, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Formal Temenos Transact (T24) technical certifications.
