Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and supervision of kitchen staff.
• Ensure the kitchen runs efficiently and that all health and safety regulations are followed.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and enhance innovative menu items.
• Participate in seasonal menu planning, focusing on using fresh, local ingredients.
• Help create new recipes and improve existing ones, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Oversee food plating and presentation to ensure high-quality service.
• Maintain proper cooking techniques and ensure timely delivery of dishes.
• Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Provide instruction on food preparation, cooking methods, and hygiene standards.
• Assist in scheduling staff shifts and assigning tasks in the kitchen.
• Conduct regular checks on food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Address any issues related to food safety or quality promptly and effectively.
• Ensure the kitchen maintains cleanliness and organization at all times. Required Qualifications:
• Culinary Art Diploma or equivalent level Certificate in a professional kitchen operation.
• Proven experience as a Senior CDP or in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or fine dining Restaurant.
• In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
