Senior Internal Auditor

Job Summary

The organization is seeking an experienced audit professional to conduct transactional, complex, and sensitive audits to ensure overall operations align with company policies and procedures. The role involves assessing financial risks, testing internal controls, analyzing data, and preparing comprehensive audit reports to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct transactional, complex, and sensitive audits to ensure operational compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Identify and assess financial risks affecting financial statements, operations, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop audit programs and perform testing and interviewing procedures to evaluate internal control effectiveness.
• Inspect transactions and related documents to verify accuracy, legitimacy, and address recurring irregularities.
• Formulate actionable recommendations, draft clear audit reports, and monitor management's implementation of corrective actions.
• Coordinate responses to external auditor comments and participate in enhancing internal audit standards and practices.
• Supervise, mentor, and guide junior audit staff.

Qualifications

• Education: BA or MA in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience (experience in corporate and farming industries is an advantage).
