Senior Finance And Operations Officer

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the full financial management cycle and streamlining essential day-to-day corporate operations. The role bridges rigorous financial oversight—including general ledger accounting, treasury, IFRS reporting, and Ministry of Revenue tax compliance—with leadership in administrative management, procurement, and team supervision for a growing technology enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Accounting: Manage full-cycle accounting, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, monthly bank reconciliations, and executive financial reporting.
• Treasury & Budgeting: Oversee cash flow, petty cash, expense monitoring, rolling financial forecasts, variance analysis, and project profitability evaluations.
• Tax Compliance & Statutory Obligations: Prepare, review, and file monthly and annual tax declarations (VAT, Withholding, Income Tax, Pension, Business Profit Tax) via MoR portals and manage payroll disbursement.
• Audit & Internal Controls: Establish, refine, and enforce internal financial controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while directing annual external audit preparations.
• Operational Administration & Leadership: Direct vendor management, procurement, office administration, asset tracking, and mentor junior finance and operations personnel.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field from a recognized university (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and corporate finance, including at least 2 years in a senior, supervisory, or managerial role.

• Expert-level knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, statutory compliance, and modern accounting software (ERP systems, QuickBooks, Peachtree, and advanced MS Excel).
