Reporting And Analytics Lead

Job Summary

The Reporting and Analytics Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data reporting solutions that drive business insights and support informed decision-making. The role works closely with stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable dashboards, reports, and visualizations while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, performance, and usability. The position also supports data pipeline development, reporting automation, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and data governance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Data Pipeline & Reporting Development

• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to aggregate and process data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, logs).
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models for reporting.
• Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Metabase).
• Develop scalable reporting solutions that support business and operational requirements.
• Maintain and improve existing reporting systems and data models.

Analytics & Business Intelligence

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
• Translate business requirements into effective technical reporting and analytics solutions.
• Implement self-service analytics solutions for stakeholders.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reports.
• Support stakeholders in interpreting dashboards, reports, and key business metrics.

Performance Optimization & Automation

• Optimize report performance (query tuning, caching, partitioning).
• Automate report generation and distribution (email alerts, Slack/Teams integrations).
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual processes.
• Maintain documentation for data definitions, metrics, and report logic.
• Monitor reporting solutions and resolve performance or data-related issues.

Advanced Analytics (Optional)

• Support ad-hoc data analysis for business stakeholders.
• Integrate predictive analytics or machine learning outputs into reports.
• Support the use of statistical and advanced analytics techniques to generate additional business insights.

Education and Work Experience

• BSC degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science or any other related fields.
• 3 year of experience on the same job positions.

Know-How (Skills) (Technical Competencies)

• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Sisense, or similar).
• SQL Mastery (complex joins, window functions, query optimization).
• Knowledge of data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and ETL tools (dbt, Airflow, Talend).
• Scripting skills (Python, R, or Bash) for data manipulation/automation.
• Familiarity with version controls (Git) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong communication to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to data quality and usability.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with real-time analytics (Kafka, Spark Streaming).
• Knowledge of advanced analytics (statistical modeling, ML concepts).
• Exposure to data governance (GDPR, CCPA compliance).
