Protection Assistant –Community Based Protection (CBP)

Experience and technical competencies:

Minimum of one year’s experience in an entry to mid-level position, with experience in the field of humanitarian response and IDP protection working for an international NGO, UN agency or relevant ministry or local authority.

Experience in community engagement and mobilization.

Experience working with community-based structures and local stakeholders.

Stakeholder handling and grass root experience

Experience working with displaced or conflict affected populations.

Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to consistently meet deadlines under pressure.

Full proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Full proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Previous experience implementing Community-Based Protection (CBP) activities is an asset.

Knowledge of protection principles, humanitarian standards, and community-based approaches is also desirable.

Experience facilitating trainings, awareness-raising sessions, and community discussions.

EDUCATION: (include certificates, licenses, etc.)

University degree/Diploma in social sciences, law, social work, international development, or other relevant field from a recognized institution.

LANGUAGE:  (indicate Fluency level)

Excellent skills in speaking, reading and writing English, local languages.
