Key Responsibilities:Operational Management:

Oversee daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution of hospital linens, uniforms, and patient garments.
Ensure proper sorting, handling, and laundering of different fabric types to maintain hygiene and fabric quality.
Monitor and maintain laundry equipment, ensuring timely repairs and servicing.
Implement and enforce infection control and safety protocols in compliance with hospital standards and health regulations.

Team Management:

Supervise laundry staff, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and providing training on proper procedures and safety guidelines.
Ensure staff compliance with hospital policies, hygiene standards, and operational efficiency.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve productivity.

Quality Control & Compliance:

Ensure all hospital laundry is processed and sanitized according to infection control standards.
Monitor and improve laundry service efficiency while minimizing waste and rewash rates.
Maintain accurate records of laundry operations, including inventory, equipment maintenance, and supply usage.
Ensure compliance with government regulations, hospital policies, and industry best practices.

Inventory & Budget Management:

Manage inventory of laundry detergents, chemicals, linens, and uniforms, ensuring adequate supply levels.
Work within the allocated budget for laundry operations, optimizing resources and reducing costs.
Coordinate with suppliers for the procurement of laundry-related items and negotiate cost-effective solutions.

Coordination & Communication:

Work closely with housekeeping, infection control, and hospital administration to align laundry services with hospital needs.
Address laundry-related concerns from hospital departments and ensure timely resolutions.
Conduct regular meetings with staff to discuss operational updates and improvements.
