Junior Procurement Officer

Purpose of the Job:  To provide assistance in procurement operations to deliver efficient, timely and quality procured goods and services for the Bank.

Generic Functions:

Provide the required assistance in all activities of the work unit

Properly maintain important files/records and avail when required

Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices

Adhere to internal control system and risk management program of the Bank

Provide the concerned organ with timely, relevant, accurate, and complete reports on the plan performance

Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct; employ the Bank’s good culture and corporate image to the public

Provide services as per the service level agreement

Contribute to the Bank’s profitability as per the target set

Specific Functions:

Collet Performa invoices from suppliers in accordance with the purchase procedures of the bank

Collect material specification from user departments, and gets assistance from IT Department when the goods are electronics

Assist market assessment studies before conducting procurement

Carry out direct purchases when approved

Deliver on time purchased items to the store against proper documents;

Maintain complete purchase related documentation

Prepare payment documents and submit for payment

Lodge claims to suppliers and follow up for settlement of defective items and shortages

Settles as soon as possible all advance payments made to the purchase of supplies and other items

keep records of supplier database and maintain files of current market prices for commonly bought items

Qualification:  BA in Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or any other related fields.

Experience:  One/1 year of relevant experience preferably in Banking industry.
