IT Procurement And Tender Specialist

InfraTech Africa PLC is seeking a highly skilled IT Procurement and Tender Specialist to manage our bidding processes and technology procurement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the ICT sector, with proven experience in tracking, preparing, and winning IT infrastructure tenders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively monitor the Ethiopian electronic government procurement (e-GP) portal and other tender sources for relevant ICT infrastructure and networking opportunities.
• Prepare, review, and submit highly competitive and technically compliant bid documents.
• Coordinate with global enterprise IT hardware vendors to secure special pricing, manage partner registrations, and fulfill vendor documentation requirements.
• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of network infrastructure materials.
• Conduct continuous market research to stay updated on the latest IT hardware trends, software pricing, and technology supply chain shifts.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of qualified suppliers, routinely evaluating their delivery performance against strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Oversee the entire contract lifecycle for approved vendors, ensuring all procurement agreements comply with internal company guidelines and risk management policies.

About You

• Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or Tender Specialist specifically within the IT/telecommunications industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Ethiopian procurement laws, VAT regulations, and the e-GP system.
• Familiarity with enterprise networking, cybersecurity hardware, and data center infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Amharic and English.
