ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for Head, Regional Branch Offices Coordination Department position who meet the following requirements.

Duty station:                  NEBE Head Quarter, Addis Ababa

Duration:                        Permanent

Salary:                             As per the organization salary scale

Duties and responsibilities

• Formulate/prepare the annual plan for the department
• Empowering the RBOs to completely fulfill the legal obligations and responsibilities assigned to them by law.
• Develop and establish a system that enhances the working relationship between RBOs and the relevant Departments at the head office.
• Empowering the regional Bureaus through the establishment of office setups, provision of personnel, furnishing of offices, and offering relevant training.
• Ensuring that the department is equipped with an up to date/modern data processing and recording system.
• Ensure strong support for RBOs and head office teams to work together on activity planning and performance tracking.
• Identify tasks that RBOs can progressively assume and provide pertinent recommendations in this context.
• Carry out responsibilities related to his/her job as assigned by the board and its officials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
