The role is vital in promoting sound governance aligned with ZamZam Bank’s mission and Islamic banking values.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESKey Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and ad hoc inspections of branch operations to ensure compliance with bank policies and NBE directives.
• Report internal control weaknesses, operational irregularities, or exposures to the Branch Operations Department for timely resolution.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective actions for audit findings across branches and report on progress.
• Support branch teams in resolving audit issues and enhancing compliance with internal policies.
• Review the general ledger of all district branches, investigating and rectifying abnormalities to maintain financial integrity.
• Provide continuous guidance to branch staff on internal control policies and assist with ledger-related discrepancies.
• Identify operational risks in branches and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
• Recommend enhancements to strengthen the internal control environment and prevent future control failures.
• Facilitate internal control training and workshops to keep branch staff informed and competent.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on internal control checks, compliance status, and follow-up actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of issues identified, actions taken, and outcomes achieved.
• Collaborate with branch managers and other departments to ensure adherence to internal control systems.
• Assist the Branch Operations Department in addressing escalated internal control concerns.
