Job Summary

The Finance & Grants Officer provides financial management support across the full grant lifecycle — from proposal development to closeout and audit preparation. The role focuses on U.S. Government‑funded programs and involves budgeting, compliance, reporting, partner oversight, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

The Finance & Grants Officer will:

• Budget & Cash Flow: Manage project budgets, cash‑flow forecasts, and monthly cash analyses.
• Compliance & Oversight: Ensure expenditures align with donor/organizational requirements; verify documentation accuracy.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit donor financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Audit & Regulations: Serve as focal point for audits; ensure compliance with 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance).
• Partner Monitoring: Oversee financial performance of partner organizations and subrecipients.
• Closeout: Lead project closeout activities, reconciliations, and final reporting.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in U.S. Government grants management (USAID, U.S. Department of State, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of 2 CFR 200 and Single Audit requirements.
• Experience managing budgets of $5M+ annually or complex multi‑year programs.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modeling, dashboards).
• Ability to analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income, cash‑flow, general ledger).
• Preferred certifications: CPA, ACCA, CMA, CGFM, CGMS or equivalent.
