The institution plays a vital role in providing financial services to rural farmers and small-scale entrepreneurs, with a significant focus on serving women.

Role Overview:  

Position Summary: The CEO is the highest-ranking executive, providing strategic leadership, direction, and vision to achieve the company’s mission and long-term goals. Collaborating closely with the Board of Directors, the CEO oversees strategic planning, policy implementation, financial management, and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Acting as the company's primary representative, the CEO manages relationships with stakeholders, investors, and external partners, drives key performance. indicators (KPIs), and fosters a culture of accountability, growth, and innovation across the Company

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities:
  • Candidates must demonstrate a strong, verifiable, and measurable record of achievement in a senior leadership position.
  • Applicants should clearly demonstrate evidence of achievements such as:
  • Successfully growing a microfinance, banking, or financial services institution.
  • Achieving measurable growth in loan portfolio, savings/deposits, customers, branches, or market reach.
  • Improving profitability, revenue, operational efficiency, or financial sustainability.
  • Maintaining or improving portfolio quality, including PAR, non-performing loans, collection, and recovery performance.
  • Successfully implementing a strategic transformation, restructuring, turnaround, or business expansion.
  • Leading successful digital financial services or technology-driven transformation initiatives.
  • Mobilizing capital, investment, deposits, or institutional funding.
  • Building and leading high-performing management teams.
  • Strengthening governance, internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Expanding access to financial services for underserved customers and communities.

Collaboration & Reporting: Collaboration is key, and you will interact with reporting to Board of Directors

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

Years of Experience: At least 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience, preferably in banking, microfinance, financial services, or a closely related sector.

Relevant Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in senior executive or senior management positions, with substantial responsibility for business and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, financial management, credit/portfolio management, risk management, and organizational leadership.
  • Experience working with a Board of Directors, regulators, investors, development partners, or other senior stakeholders is highly desirable.
Education & Certifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking, Management, or a related field.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required; additional professional qualifications in finance, banking, microfinance, or management are an advantage.

Certifications: Relevant professional certification or executive management training is an advantage.
