Cashier

The Cashier provides fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers by handling cash and card transactions, maintaining the cash register, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The role involves processing payments, reconciling cash registers at the start and end of shifts, maintaining transaction records, and assisting with basic customer service and stock checks.

• Greet customers and assist with purchases.
• Scan items and process transactions accurately across cash, card, and mobile money.
• Handle refunds and exchanges in accordance with company policy.
• Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and stocked.
• Count cash at the start and end of shifts and report any discrepancies.
• Follow store procedures for payments, discounts, and promotions.
• Resolve customer questions politely and escalate issues when needed.
• Maintain daily transaction records and assist with stock checks and basic customer service support.

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Work Experience: Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage, and fresh graduates or candidates with cashier or customer service experience are encouraged to apply.

• Good communication and customer service skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Trustworthiness and capability to handle cash responsibly.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays if needed.
• Basic computer and POS knowledge, with training provided.
• Core skills in Accounting and Business Administration.
