Caregiving Intelligence / Trainee Intern

Job Summary

The Caregiving Intelligence / Trainee Intern is part of a high-potential, paid two-month internship program focused on evaluating learner evidence, communicating warmly with families in Amharic and English, testing EdTech tools, and supporting caregiver development to improve child outcomes at scale. Strong performers have a clear pathway to permanent roles and Child Development Associate certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Review de-identified real learner video, audio, and written evidence against established standards.
• Separate objective observations from assumptions and identify key learner strengths and priority coaching areas.
• Draft, edit, and send clear, warm, and professional coaching responses and communications in Amharic and English.
• Participate in supervised family and community support activities.
• Test Tsehai trainings, tools, and products with real users and translate observations into actionable improvement feedback.
• Maintain high quality, trust, and accountability under busy queue conditions.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Education: Degree in Teaching / Education, Social Work, or Early Childhood Education / Development.
• Academic Requirement: Cumulative GPA of 3.5 / 4.0 (or equivalent) or higher.
• Experience: Entry-level / Internship Program (Designed to identify quick learners and high-potential candidates).

Required Skills & Competencies

• Excellent written and verbal communication in both Amharic and English, including functional Amharic typing and editing capabilities.
• Strong interest in supporting caregivers and families with young children.
• High integrity, growth mindset, and ability to rapidly incorporate feedback.
• Required Skill Tags: Ability to build lasting relationships, development-oriented, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress, ability to handle high volumes of alerts with structured prioritization, A/B testing & experimentation, ability to deliver quality work within deadlines, and ability to coordinate multiple tasks under pressure.
